Vintage Design
This vintage mid-century TU30 minimalist dining table, designed by Cees Braakman for Pastoe in the 1960s, features a beautiful teak top. This iconic piece embodies the clean lines and functional elegance typical of mid-century modern design, making it a perfect addition to any sophisticated dining space. The Dutch designer Cees Braakman was born in Utrecht in 1917. At the age of 17, he began working for Pastoe, a furniture manufacturer based in Utrecht. His father, D.L. Braakman (1885-1966), was the chief designer and manager at Pastoe at that time. In 1948, after World War II (during which the factory was closed), Braakman took on the role of designer and manager at Pastoe and held this position until 1978.
