Charles Dudouyt, solid oak and cane side table C.1940
A superb round side table, fine example of Brutalist work, attributed to Charles Dudouyt and usually found with rope details. The table shown here is even rarer with its cane details. Made from solid oak, it consists of a thick round top supported by four cylindrical legs enhanced with caning and linked by asymmetrical braces.
Made in the 1940s, it has been carefully cleaned and lightly waxed to preserve its beautiful patina.
