French writing desk from the mid-20th century. Napoleon III style furniture in rosewood, walnut, mahogany and fruitwood adorned with geometric inlay. Professional writing desk finished from the center, of beautiful proportions, ideal for placing in a living room or study. Furniture richly adorned with chiselled and gilded bronzes of excellent quality. Desk top covered in faux leather of excellent size and serviceability, wooden edge of the top to be repainted (see photo) lightened over time. Furniture equipped with three drawers of excellent capacity and service, complete with a working key for the central drawer. Structurally sound, it shows some small signs of wear, overall in a good state of conservation.
