Curvy Armchair by Luca Pasqualotti for Seconda Giovinezza

It is from the attempt to unite two different and antithetical worlds
a harmonious complexity that gives rise to the design of the armchair
“Curvy”: the absolute sparkle of the chrome lattice blends
to the irregular indefiniteness of fur in a play of materials
and of shapes that aim to link rational geometric figures to lines
uncontrollable and unpredictable. Exploring the possibilities through
which the two distinct spheres mentioned above dialogue and mix
“CURVY”, a small armchair, was born between them in a symbiotic union
synthesis of formal research that focuses on the investigation of
infinite variables that determine a balance between the parts.

UNCONVENTIONAL SHAPES WITH AN ARTISAN SOUL

The “CURVY” armchair is a product born from the minds and
from the hands of Tuscan professionals and artisans. The process of
manufacturing of the armchair follows a process that intertwines reality
local industrial to artisanal. Every step of the
Production is controlled by the watchful eyes of our experts
design with the aim of creating an armchair that has some
high quality standards. The final result of this process
realization is a product of absolute quality, from the shapes
deliberately unconventional.

ARCH. LUCA PASQUALOTTI

Born in Arezzo in Tuscany, the city where he practices free climbing
profession, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Florence with
a thesis relating to the intended contemporary architectural project
as a necessary means for the redevelopment of ruined spaces and
deprived of their identity.
Interested in the most creative aspect of the architectural discipline,
think of the project as an analysis tool through which
knowing yourself, knowing others and knowing the world.

Second Youth

Founded in 2020 by A.P. and A.I, Second Youth has as
aim is to seek and promote the very strong passion of
two creators: Design.
Through continuous study and constant research, the two founders
continuously enrich the value of their collection, which
includes furnishings by great architects and designers such as Gaetano
Pesce, Gio Ponti, Max Ingrand and Fontana’s first productions
Art and Cassina. Moved by strong ambition and passion, Second
Giovinezza has made itself known internationally, with
clients in Milan, Los Angeles, New York and Paris.
