Dating from the 1960s, this three piece Chanel Haute Couture raspberry pink and black ensemble is pure perfection. The pink wool jacket is collarless with rounded edges and black silk trim. The chevron details on the patch pockets are very unique for a Chanel piece from this time. Pink and black buffalo check silk taffeta french cuffs with black silk ribbon detail and a single gold button. No centre seam buttons, hidden large hook and eye closures. The darling buttons at the jacket cuffs have wool centres with black and pink buffalo check perimeters. The jacket lining has a 4″ trim around the perimeter of the pink and black buffalo check silk taffeta with a black silk ribbon centre, and the remaining lining is a solid matching pink silk. The matching black and pink buffalo check silk taffeta top is sleeveless with a slight boat neckline. Black silk ribbon trim and vertical stripes throughout. There is a 5.5″ black silk hem for tucking into the skirt. The skirt is matching pink wool with a black silk ribbon waistband. The pieces look amazing together, but can also be worn separately (the top must be worn tucked in). This is a great Spring\/Fall ensemble with attention to detail that you will only find in a Haute Couture piece. The ensemble is in overall very good vintage condition considering its age. There is some wear to the silk cuffs, specifically the left and to the silk around the armholes of the top. Haute Couture label with bolduc (style number) on back. It is possible that the silk top was reinforced at some point by a skilled dressmaker to ensure that there would be less damage from future wear. Handmade in France. <\/p>\n
