1935 set of two restored Kaare Klint “Barcelona-” or “The Red Chair” by Rud Rasmussen
The set made in in mahogany, walnut and leather was according to the manufactor number by Rud. Rasmussen in 1935. According to Rud Rasmussen, the chairs are one of several very limited editions of Kaare Klint’s Barcelona chair, made in very small numbers by Rud Rasmussen during the first years after the red chair was designed in 1927.
The chairs have been reupholstered at some point during their long life and the leather retain the patina and wear consistent with age and use that many wish for – but the leather can be cleaned and color refreshed in case you wish for it.
The frames feature excellent original wood work and have been checked and refinished by our cabinetmaker to ensure that they are in very good condition.
