Vintage Design
This solid mahogany piece of furniture was on a sailing yacht. It was used as bar furniture, which explains the small brass railing on the marble plate. The cabinet has no bottom, as it was custom-made for the yacht and placed directly against a wall in the saloon. This last feature makes it an ideal countertop unit for entertaining customers. The luxury materials used for this item will enhance a well-decorated interior. The drawer locks have been replaced by period brass handles. Part of the bottom veneer was redone, and the cabinet was reinforced by our cabinetmaker. All these modifications can be seen in the last four photos. Good antique condition. The re-export of mahogany is regulated by a SITES authorization, which takes 2 to 4 weeks to obtain.
