Unusual multi peplum jacket from the 1940’s. Large extended shoulders and constructed of an unusual reverse loop knit fabrication. The decoration is heavily dimensional and is reminiscent of the the looped letters decorating Varsity jackets in the period like a tightly woven terry cloth.
Jacket has an interior panel with hidden closures at waist. Unusual and graphic in deep navy and cream light weight boucle (rayon/wool). A great versatile separate that can be worn with a myriad of bases. 1940’s USA.
Length 16″ to waist, 27″ to peplum,
26″ waist overarm 30.5″ measure. Small size 2-4, Shoulder 7″, Sleeve 24″. Bust 32″.
