Chanel Haute Couture jacket and dress ensemble from the 1960s. A beautiful combination of tweed in shades of copper and copper coloured silk. The jacket features a small Peter Pan collar, stunning gold tone metal buttons with flower details, four envelope style patch pockets with flap tops and copper silk trim. Copper silk interior lining with gold tone chain at interior hem. The sleeveless under dress has a copper silk bodice with a matching tweed skirt. Faux wrap style skirt fastens with a front left seam zipper, large hook and eyes at the waist and hidden buttons and snaps up the bodice. Designed to be worn as an ensemble. Perfect for Fall/Winter! Haute Couture label with bolduc (style number) on back. Label with the couture seamstresses hand writing on both the jacket and dress with ensemble information in French. Handmade in France. The ensemble is in overall excellent vintage condition, virtually no signs of wear to tweed or silk – very rare for a suit of this age.
